Lower the radon in your home. Protect your family.

Health Canada estimates radon causes more than 3,000 lung cancer deaths in Canada every year — and Windsor-Essex sits in a region where homes regularly test above the 200 Bq/m³ action level. We test, we diagnose, we fix it.

The radon problem

Radon is the #1 cause of lung cancer in non-smokers — and you can't see, smell, or taste it.

Radon is a radioactive gas that forms naturally as uranium in soil breaks down. It seeps up through cracks in foundations, around pipes, and through unsealed sump pits — and it concentrates in the lower levels of homes.

The Windsor-Essex Health Unit recommends that every home in Windsor-Essex be tested, because levels vary house-to-house, even on the same street.

Health Canada's guideline is 200 Bq/m³. Above that, you should take action. Most homes that test high can be brought down to under 100 Bq/m³ with a properly designed mitigation system.

How it works

From test to clean air in four steps

  1. 01

    Test

We deploy a long-term radon detector in the lowest lived-in level of your home.

  2. 02

    Diagnose

If results exceed 200 Bq/m³, we inspect your foundation to design a custom mitigation plan.

  3. 03

    Mitigate

We install an active soil depressurization system — typically a one-day job.

  4. 04

    Verify

A post-mitigation radon test confirms levels are well below the action level.
